Dear visitors from near and far,
This website is still a work in progress. Until October, I will be gradually transferring almost all projects from my old website. I’m really excited about the fresh new look and the creative mind behind it, my partner Johann Michael Schober.
At the moment, I am on an artist residency at the Cité internationale des arts in Paris. Currently, I’m researching the photograph “Club Allegro Fortissimo” by William Klein from 1990. The original photo and the hamam how it looks today.
After initially spending a lot of time writing emails, I have finally gotten much closer to my subject. Of course, research can easily spiral out of control, but at some point you have to focus—on what story you really want to tell.
What I want to share will be on view at my Open Studio at the Cité internationale des arts on August 20, 2025. That evening, I will give a talk about my research and its background.
I’m looking forward to seeing you all! I will be accompanied by my partner and the German filmmaker Bettina Timm from Pelle Films. Stay tuned!
