2026 comes with a suitcase full of plans: another trip to Paris for filming and further research on Club Allegro Fortissimo, a small but lovely exhibition in Bad Ischl (AT), and the completion of a documentary about me to be broadcast on German television in 2027. Stay tuned! 🙂

One of my recent projects grew out of a video I watched again and again: a fat boy dancing by a pool. Sometimes when the world turns grey, searching for other fat dancers became a refuge for me — a source of joy, trust, and lightness. Eventually, I began dancing quietly at home, just for myself.

From this place emerged the wish to create a video that shares joy and shows fat bodies in motion. Fat bodies move differently, yet are often discouraged from moving at all. Out of hundreds of collected dance clips, an animated music video took shape, developed together with Johann Michael Schober who brought these fantastic dance moves to life: With its reduced, rhythmic visual language, the focus remains on movement, presence, and joy.

I’m happy to share a small snippet here and hope the full film will soon be shown at many festivals.
